Moku Stack on Rope ~ Size 6.5

In the Hawaiian language, 'Moku' has several different meanings including 'broken,' 'pieces' and 'island.' This definition suggests that 'broken' things can still hold value, beauty and importance.

When I find interesting fragments of broken shell, I always wonder where the other pieces are and how long they've been separated. When I collect and admire these small treasures, I can't help but think about PEOPLE...how we all begin as a part of something else. We move, we marry, we separate, we become our own 'island,' from which other pieces may eventually break away. Our edges, our insides, our unique shape tell our story. Beautiful is not always whole or perfect...beautiful can also be "broken."

These bracelets consist of 11-12 colorful, surf tumbled shell and sea glass  fragments which are drilled through the center and stacked front to back. Shell and sea glass pieces are approximately 0.5 inches across and vary in width. These surf tumbled treasures are stacked together on hand twisted double rope made with waxed polyester thread. Shells and sea glass move slightly along the cord and are repositionable.

The secure and easy to use toggle closure is made with two wooden beads and six miniature pukas. Slide the wooden bead to open or close the loop and slip the puka adorned ends in or out. You can use the second wooden bead (the one on the puka side) to help you set and secure the size of your bracelet. Both bracelets measure 6.5 at their largest and can be made to fit smaller wrist sizes.

Please remember, bracelets are measured by internal circumference. Size is not determined by end to end measurement.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE YOUR BRACELET SIZE?

Measure the smallest part of your wrist. Add 0.25-0.5 inches depending on your desired fit. If you like a snug fit, add 0.25 inch. If you prefer a looser fit, add 0.5 inch (or more! it's up to you).
