Aloha Shack started because of two things: my infatuation with sea glass AND my vision of a sea glass mobile in my son's nursery.
After I finished the nursery piece, I made one for a friend, then I sold a couple on Etsy, then I thought "hmm...maybe this is my thing!"
Six years and countless mobiles later, this continues to be "my thing." There is no project that I love more than a sea glass mobile. The mobiles continue to evolve, and no two have EVER been the same. This unique piece is no exception.
Inspired by the Moku Collection and its beautifully broken, tediously tumbled shell fragments, this five stand Moku Mobile is nothing short of Pacific perfection. The Moku Mobile is strung on a 8 inch piece of smooth driftwood. The adjustable hanging cord makes the total hanging measurement (apex of the cord to bottom of the longest strand) between 10 3/4 - 16 1/4 inches. Each strand is hand tied on waxed polyester thread with over 70 total ocean treasures on each strand and a chunky shell or piece of sea glass at the bottom.
This piece is beyond one of a kind...it is pure ocean magic.
