In my mind, there are few things that are more authentically Hawaiian than the Sunrise Shell. This endemic shell comes in every color of the sunrise (and sunset) - each one unique and a true ocean treasure. They live in deep waters and rarely wash ashore intact. To find a sunrise shell is pure magic, as it is to wear one around your neck.
For this design, each pristine sunrise shell has been paired with an equally unique, surf polished "puka" (or more precisely, cone top). Each duo is strung on hand twisted 4 ply rope cord which is durable and ocean (water) friendly.
The ends of each necklace are finished with two miniature cone shells and a small, sliding, fresh water pearl. The two ends are made to drape down your back and allow for adjustability up to 26 inches.
